The song is a mix of pop music and Reggaeton came out in 2017 by singer from Puerto Rico Luis Fonsi with Daddy Yankee. The song has become the most streamed track at that period within a span of six months. The Billboard Top 100 had four songs predominantly in Spanish by 2016 compared to two in the year 2015. In 2017, during the height of popularity for Despacito, 19 tracks mainly in Spanish were included in the Billboard Top 100. By 2020 it will have 41 hits that fall into this category. Following the time that Justin Bieber released his bilingual remix of Despacito in the year 2017 popular artists began to collaborate with reggaeton performers. Drake and Bad Bunny worked together on MIA (2018) and Madonna teamed up with Maluma on Medellin in the year 2019. A few performers of reggaeton lamented the trend towards popular music by 2020. But a new band, Rauw Alejandro wanted to maintain the growth and evolution of reggaeton. Incorporating elements of electronic dance music, as well as various other genres was a typical method.
