Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is the daughter of a mixed-race family from South London in England. Her father is Nigerian and Swiss as well as her mother is English. Her family was raised on a south London community estate, where she attended The Brit School at age 14. She was a student of acting in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. In her time at the school, she performed in a variety of stage productions like the King Henry V's Princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began her career as an actor in the movie Storm Damage. In the years since, she's had guest appearances in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her breakthrough role came in 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was opposite Colin Farrell (who played the part of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. In the following film, she played Elisha in a BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie for six episodes in the series Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi character on ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She appeared in the series 2 and 3. Madekwe was a part of the comedic How to Lose Friends and to annoy people (2008). The credits she has in her theatre work include Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams as well as Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe made her US debut in the 2009 drama The Beautiful Life, which was only broadcast on The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. In May of 2013, it was announced that Madekwe, who had been a series regular in the previous two seasons had decided to quit the show following a guest appearance in the premier episode of the new season. She played Tituba in the TV show Salem between 2014 and 2016. Madekwe married her actor partner Iddo goldberg in June 2012. The two have collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he has also appeared alongside Madekwe on the TV show Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress, who was born into an extended family. She was the daughter of Patty and Roy Leggat. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty along with four older brothers: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's sports brothers played baseball in summer as well as hockey in winter. Ashley never actually walked -she was a dancer, and when she was two and a half she took up Baby Ballet -and she fell in love. Ashley began to be a dancer after this. Ashley participated in the top divisions of tap, jazz hip hop, ballet Acrobatics, Lyrical Musical Theatre and pointe, until she finished from high school. The top soloist at important competitions like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, were all awarded to Ashley.
